(March 31, 2022 – Georgetown, GY) Excel Guyana is pleased to welcome Eugene Gonsalves as our Procurement and Supply Chain Business Manager. He will lead the firm’s Procurement Management Division, providing companies with sustainable supply chain solutions to meet their project development demands for materials and equipment.
“Eugene Gonsalves has an impressive overseas job profile, a track record in Guyana for large-scale procurement, logistics, and supply chain management. With his expert guidance in sourcing materials and equipment, our clients will be able to operate more efficiently and deliver their projects on-time,” said Kris Sammy, CEO of Excel Guyana.
The growing Procurement Management Division has established contracts to directly source over 2,000 products from factories in the United States, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Columbia, and China. In its inventory of supplies are essential construction and maintenance materials for infrastructure development, oil and gas rigs, as well as mining camp management.
“The growth in the natural resources sector has caused a surge in demand for construction materials, equipment, and provisions to support development projects. Our firm is well-positioned to support all levels of our clients’ operations and I am excited to be a part of such a dynamic team,” said Gonsalves.
Prior to joining Excel, he has worked on projects of great magnitude, especially in gas and petroleum refineries, oil and gas drilling operations, aluminum refinery and gold mining concession, and hydroelectric dam construction. He has extensive experience in the energy, mining, and infrastructure sectors and has helped local and national companies establish efficient operations.
