Guyana Strengthens Ties with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM)

Guyana is starting the year off strong by making efforts to strengthen the ties and connect with the neighboring nations in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) region. Our President, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali recently welcomed St. Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister, Dr. The Honourable Ralph Everard Gonsalves for a four-day official visit to Guyana to talk about a better cooperation in a number of areas between the two countries. Prime Minister Gonsalves is one of the longest serving heads of government in the 15-member CARICOM grouping.

Excel is looking forward to this development as the ties between Guyana and its bordering regions will remove extra-territorial barriers that may slow down the facilitating of goods for faster development and exchange of supplies. The activity within the region has increased exponentially and through Excel’s Recruitment Division, we supply a highly-skilled labour force guaranteed to fill the position your firm is seeking for. Our team of experts will also guide our local and international partners through the local labour laws and regulations in order to perform business in the country.

Our Marine and Offshore Services Division will ensure that the vessel used for the transport of materials for your project is secured and safely conducting the voyage without any risk. Excel regularly performs inspection and maintenance service for our clients to keep their equipment, vessels, or ships within the local and international standards. The Logistics and Management Services Division ensures that the supply needed for the completion of the project will arrive safely and without delays from the moment it leaves its point of origin until it arrives to its destination.

Since Guyana has switched to a workforce-focused strategy in order to elevate economic development, it is a good opportunity for the people of Guyana to secure jobs and improve their skills by participating in the government’s efforts to strengthen its ties within its neighboring regions and ease the barriers preventing the free exchange of goods. Excel is dedicated to helping our local and business partners to have a smooth transition when they enter a business venture locally.

The International Energy Conference and Expo: Guyana 2023 (IECEG 2023) happening on February 14-17, 2023 with the theme, “Harnessing Energy for Development” will feature notable speakers and attendees such as Heads of State, global ambassadors and other distinguished professionals. Excel is proud to support this tradeshow as Silver Sponsor and introduce Guyana not just to its neighboring regions, but to the world.
