More than 1,000 Guyanese Residents attend Mining Career Fair

(Georgetown, Guyana – July 24, 2022) – Excel Guyana hosted a Mining Industry Career Fair to fill 200+ current positions and build a pipeline of potential candidates for another 1,500 jobs that are expected to come online in the next two years. The event attracted more than 1,000 local job seekers, applying for all levels of mining operations from attendant to shift supervisor, as well as administrative and operations, support specialists such as logistics, lab technicians, security, as well as health and safety services.

All positions listed through this career fair offer a competitive salary and benefits package, with health and life insurance. Reliable transportation will be provided for shifts that include short rotations to the mining site, which is located on shore.

With many entry-level positions available, the firm invited participation from students at Government Technical Institute, New Guyana School, Accountancy Training Centre (ATC), Guyana Industrial Training Centre, Linden Technical Institute and New Amsterdam Technical Institute.
